Down in Goregaon East, specifically at Sakinak Industrial Estate, that’s where you’ll find our workshop at number 24. It’s an industrial area, so it’s never really quiet. There is always the smell of hot rubber in the air, which stays with you long after you leave. We spend our hours around the lathes and the molding machines. The floor is concrete and usually has a few scuffs from moving heavy crates around. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the delivery guys by name. It’s a practical space where we focus on engineering bits and rubber parts. Some days the machines run perfectly, and other days we spend half the morning fixing a leak. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, but we don't mind. We aren't here to look pretty; we’re here to make things. Lunch is usually a quick affair at a small table in the corner. We talk about the rain or how the commute was that morning. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it needs to be done right. People come to us because we’ve been in this estate for years and they know where to find us. Just a regular engineering shop doing its thing every day. We keep the equipment running and the orders moving. It's not fancy, but it is what we know.
