Down here at the 1st E Cross near Diamond Garden in Chembur, things stay pretty busy. Melting Mints is tucked into a corner that gets a lot of foot traffic, especially when the weather is nice and people are out for a stroll. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. You’ll usually find me behind the counter or back in the small storage area checking on the stock. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting crates and making sure the displays look decent enough. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big marketing plan. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last few people head home. The garden nearby brings in families and kids, which keeps the atmosphere lively. There’s a bit of a draft from the front door that we’ve never quite fixed, but it helps when the afternoon heat kicks in. The shelves are filled with whatever we have ready that week. It’s a local spot where people know us by name. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and sweeping the floor because the dust from the street never stops. It’s just the daily routine of a small business in Chembur. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a place with some mints and other things on the shelf, situated right where the local life happens.
