Mayuri Art

You can find our shop, Mayuri Art, on the ground floor of the Harihar Society in Kalbadevi. We are at Shop No 1/B on Kumar School Road, quite close to the Standard Chartered Bank. It is a small shop packed with all sorts of things from floor to ceiling. We spend our days working on different art pieces, sometimes doing framing or just selling supplies to the local students. The space is a bit cramped because we have so much stuff squeezed onto the shelves. Kalbadevi is a very crowded area, so there is always a lot of noise and people passing by the front door all day long. We do not have a big staff here, just a couple of us who actually like making things with our hands. We get a lot of people from the nearby school coming in for bits and pieces for their projects. It is not a fancy gallery, just a local shop where we often get our hands dirty with paint and glue. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy when we are right in the middle of a big framing project. We have been part of this community for a long time now. We do not really do any big advertisements; we just keep the door open and wait for people to wander in. It is a simple life, surrounded by colors and wooden frames. We just enjoy what we do and try to keep things moving.
