Maya Samtani

My name is Maya Samtani and I work out of my place at 21 Vinod Villa. Being on the second floor, there are some stairs to climb if anyone visits. We are right on B G Worli Monti Road, which is a bit of a mouthful to say, but most people just know it as being opposite Milan Restaurant. The smell of the food from across the street sometimes drifts up here around lunchtime. I have lived in this part of Worli for a long time and I like the pace of it. It isn't too quiet, but it’s not as crazy as some other parts of the city. Working from home means my living space and my work space kind of bleed into each other. I have my desk set up near the window so I can see what’s going on outside while I go about my day. It is just me here most of the time, keeping things running and staying on top of my schedule. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character that you don't find in the newer high-rises. I don't have a big staff or anything like that. It is just a simple setup where I can focus and get things done. People usually call before they come over because the doorbell is a bit finicky. It’s a practical way to live and work.
