Mavie Foundation

So, we are based out of Serenity Heights, specifically in A 1001. If you know the Mindspace area in Malad West, you know it's a place that's always moving. Our group at Mavie Foundation is pretty small, just a handful of us working from this space. It’s a bit of a hike to get up to the tenth floor sometimes when the elevators are acting up, but the view of the suburb is alright. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight or anything like that. Instead, we just look at what's happening around Mumbai Suburban and try to be helpful where we can. Most of the time, we’re just sitting around a table with a lot of papers and tea. It gets a bit cluttered in here, but we usually know where everything is. People ask what we do, and honestly, it’s a bit of everything that falls under social work. We don't have fancy brochures or a team of marketing people. It's just us answering calls and trying to organize local efforts. Malad is a crowded place, so there’s always something going on. We started this because we had some extra time and wanted to put it to good use. Sometimes the days are long, and other times it's quiet. We just keep showing up and doing the work. It’s nothing fancy, just a local foundation trying to stay organized in a busy city like Mumbai.
