Manjiri Sudesh Golatkar

I run my small workspace here at 17 A/202 in the Andheri Oasis Industrial Estate. It is tucked away in a corner of the Valoka Masjid area in Santacruz, so it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking closely. The industrial estate is a hive of activity from dawn until dusk, with trucks coming in and people moving crates around constantly. My office is a quiet little spot in the middle of all that chaos. I spend most of my time here dealing with the day-to-day work under the name Manjiri Sudesh Golatkar. It’s a functional space with a desk, a few chairs, and plenty of files stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes the noise from the street downstairs gets a bit much, but you get used to it after a few months. Being near the masjid means there is a nice rhythm to the day. I see the same faces every morning when I walk in from the main road. It isn't a place for showing off; it’s just where I come to get things finished. Most of my visitors are people from the local area who know where to find me. We usually end up talking about the weather or the traffic before getting down to the actual reason they came by. It feels like a real part of the Santacruz community here. I keep the door open when it’s not too hot outside just to get a bit of air.
