Mangal Arts

Mangal Arts is located at 294/A in Govindwadi, which is part of the Kalbadevi area. We are right opposite Vitthal Wadi. If you know the city, you know Kalbadevi is one of those places that never really sleeps. It’s always crowded and full of life. Our shop is tucked in there among all the other businesses. We’ve been around for a bit, surrounded by the old buildings and narrow lanes. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but that’s the charm of it. We spend our days working with different art pieces and items. It’s a lot of manual work, unpacking things, displaying them, and talking to the people who walk in. The space is filled with all sorts of things, so it can feel a bit small, but it’s home to us. You can hear the bells from the temple nearby and the sounds of the handcarts going past the door. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything. We just open up the shutters every morning and see who comes by. It’s a very local way of doing things. Sometimes it gets really hot, and we just leave the door open to get a bit of a breeze from the alley. We aren't a big chain store. We’re just a small art place in a historic part of the city. We do our own thing and try to keep the shop looking decent for everyone who stops in and says hello to us.
