Manan Joshi

My office is over in Kandivali West, at number 2 in Chhawani Mohalla. The building is called Vora Palace. It’s a quiet enough spot for the kind of work I do. I mostly handle consulting and individual professional services. It’s not a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just me and a small space where I keep all my records and books. Most of the day is spent reading documents or meeting with people who need advice on their projects. The neighborhood is pretty traditional and you can hear the sounds of the daily market nearby. I’ve lived and worked around here for a long time, so I know most of the people on this street. The office itself is simple. I have a desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and a lot of filing cabinets. I don't like having a lot of flash or expensive stuff around. People come to me because they know I’ll give them a straight answer. It’s a lot of one-on-one time. Sometimes I’m out of the office for meetings, but usually, I’m here from morning until early evening. The commute isn't bad since I'm local. I handle my own scheduling, so if I’m busy, I just tell people to wait a bit. It’s a practical way to run things. I don't have a website or a big marketing plan. I just do my work here at Vora Palace.
