Mainstream Social Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is based out of Flat No B1 604 at Gat No 991. It’s in the Gayatri Mantra area of Newalewa Haveli, which is part of Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune. Living and working in the same area means we are always around if something comes up. The Mainstream Social Welfare Foundation isn't some huge corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us working from this flat. Pimpri Chinchwad is a fast-growing place and there is always something going on. We see a lot of people who need a bit of help with one thing or another. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to deal with it. The flat gets a bit crowded sometimes when we have visitors, but we make do. It’s a real place with real people. Sometimes the lift in the building is broken and we have to walk up, or the water stops for a few hours, but that is just life in Pune. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just want to do some good work in our own neighborhood. If you are around Gayatri Mantra, you can usually find one of us here. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours and we are proud of what we manage to get done with very little. Anyway, that is who we are.
