Mahaperiyava Arul Foundation

If you find yourself in Matunga, you might come across us. The Mahaperiyava Arul Foundation is located at 6/221 Prapodh on Deodhar road. It is a classic Mumbai neighborhood with a lot of history. The building, Prapodh, is tucked away in a spot that feels a bit more relaxed than the rest of the city. We are in room 221 on the sixth floor. Our pin code is 400019. It’s a fairly straightforward setup. Not a lot of bells and whistles here. Just a place where we sit and handle the foundation’s business. Matunga has a very specific feel to it, and we like being part of it. The street can get a little crowded when people are out shopping or heading to the nearby temples. We have been in this space for a while. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. It’s more of a functional space than a pretty one. We use simple desks and old cupboards for all our files. You won't find any corporate logos or receptionists here. Just us doing what we need to do. It’s a quiet life in 6/221 mostly. The neighbors are friendly enough. Mumbai City is always moving, but inside our office on Deodhar road, things move at a bit of a slower, more manageable pace. It suits the way we work as a foundation every single day without needing anything too fancy.
