Lila Fine Arts Expoters

Lila Fine Arts Expoters is located at C/3 in the Sahar Timbers area, right along the Airport Road in Andheri East. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, especially with the airport being so close. You can hear the planes taking off all day long. We work out of a small space in Parsiwada that stays quite cluttered with crates and packing supplies. Most of our time is spent wrapping up art pieces and making sure they are secure for transport. It’s a lot of manual work, and we usually have tape and bubble wrap stuck to our clothes by the end of the shift. The road outside is always crowded with trucks and cars, so getting things in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We aren’t some big, polished firm. It’s just a few of us doing the packing and checking the lists. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, and that’s about as fancy as it gets. The humidity here is tough on the cardboard boxes, so we have to keep everything off the floor. We’ve been in this spot for years and know all the local tea sellers and couriers. It’s a bit of a chaotic environment, but we’re used to the pace of Andheri East. We just focus on getting the crates ready and making sure the paperwork matches up. It’s just honest, everyday work for us.
