Koshi Yuva Foundation

Our place is over in Aarey Colony, specifically at Royal Palms. It’s Flat 10 in the Palms 2 building if you are looking for it. If you know Mumbai, you know Aarey is one of the few green spots left in the city, even with all the building going on. We started this foundation to work with the younger crowd around here. There’s a lot of energy in Goregaon East, but there isn't always a good place for it to go. We aren't doing anything flashy or big. It's mostly just local stuff, helping the youth find their footing. The office isn't much to look at, just a regular flat where we keep our files and meet up when we need to. We deal with whatever comes up during the week. Sometimes it’s organizing a small event, other times it’s just helping someone with their paperwork. Living and working in Mayur Nagar means we see the same faces every day. It makes things feel more personal than a big corporate office. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us trying to keep things running. It gets busy, and sometimes we get behind on emails, but we get there eventually. We like the vibe of this area, even if the commute into the main city can be a total nightmare. It’s a good spot for what we do. We’ve been here for a while now and the community has been pretty welcoming to what we’re trying to do with the kids.
