Kinox Foundation

Kinox Foundation. We are located over at Kasre E Mohmedi Building on the fourth floor. It’s an old place in the 400004 zip code area of Mumbai, so things can be a bit cramped sometimes. The building has that classic Mumbai feel where everyone knows each other. Being on Plot 7/9 means we are right in the middle of all the noise and energy of the city. We spend our days mostly handling the logistics of the foundation. It's just five or six of us usually. The stairs are a bit steep if the lift is acting up, which happens now and then. We don't have a big reception area or fancy furniture. Mostly just old files and computers that have seen better days. It's a practical setup. We ended up here because it was central for everyone. People come in and out all day long. Some are looking for advice, others just want to talk about their problems. We try to listen as much as we can. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always running at full speed. We don't really do big meetings or anything polished. We just sit around the table and figure out what needs to be done next for the community. It’s honest work and we like being part of the local fabric here in Maharashtra. It is just a normal office doing what needs to be done. There is always someone here to answer the door.
