Karigar Art

Karigar Art is our little shop located at Shop No 1 in Tulsi Sadan. We are right in D K Lane, opposite the Powai Sreeram Market and very close to the Powai English High School. It is a small space, but it is where all the creative work happens. We handle different types of art and craft items, and you will often find the shop looking a bit messy with various materials spread out. We spend a lot of our time making things by hand, which takes a lot of patience and focus. Being so close to the market and the school means there’s always a lot of noise and people walking by our window. We’ve been in this part of Powai for quite a while now and have become part of the local scenery. We don't do any big advertising; we just display our work out front and people stop in if they see something they like. Sometimes a customer comes in with a specific request for a gift or a decoration, and we see what we can do to help them. It’s not a corporate business by any means. It’s just us doing what we enjoy and trying to make a living from it. We like the atmosphere of D K Lane and the fact that we know many of our neighbors by name. It’s a simple life of making art and running a small shop, and that suits us just fine.
