Kamal Aluminium Traders is based in Govandi. If you have been to Govandi, you know it is a place where people work hard. Our shop is filled with aluminium sections, rods, and different profiles that people use for windows or partitions. It is a silver world in here with all the metal stacked up against the walls. We spend a lot of time measuring things. Aluminium is light but it takes up a lot of room, so the shop always feels a bit cramped. We don't have a polished showroom. It is more of a warehouse feel where people come to pick up what they need for their construction or repair jobs. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside and we have to clean the sections before selling them. Dealing with traders and contractors is what we do mostly. They want things fast and they want them at a fair price. We don't talk much about visions or missions. We just check the weight, cut the pieces if needed, and load them onto the small tempos that wait outside. The sun can be quite brutal in Govandi during the afternoons, so we usually take a small break for tea then. It is a regular life of buying and selling metal and making sure the counts are right at the end of the day. We are just here doing the basic work.
