Our office is tucked away at 415/4 Ashtavinayak Neevas in Mumbai. We are right by Ganesh Chowk, which is always full of people and vehicles. The pincode is 400009, so we are quite central in terms of the old city bustle. Working in Mumbai means you have to get used to cramped spaces, and our place at Aludecor is no different. We do lamination work here, and the machines take up a good chunk of the floor. It’s a bit noisy when everything is running, and the heat from the equipment makes it even warmer than it already is outside. We don’t have a lot of room for a big lounge or anything, so we usually just stand around the workspace or sit on stools when we take a break. The building, Ashtavinayak Neevas, has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying boxes. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from delivery drivers to local contractors. Ganesh Chowk is a landmark that everyone knows, which makes giving directions a lot easier. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve just adapted to the pace of the neighborhood. It is definitely not a quiet life, but it keeps us on our toes. We just focus on getting the lamination right and making sure the panels look like they are supposed to before they go out into the city.
