Kala Nidhi

Kala Nidhi is at Shop No 1 in Baldotta House. You can find us in the Laxm area of Matunga East, specifically in Apte Colony. One good thing about our spot is that we are right opposite Saraswati Restaurant. In the mornings, we can smell the food being cooked over there, which makes us hungry. Matunga East is a nice neighborhood, and Apte Colony feels like a little community. Our shop isn't huge, but it's on the ground level so it’s easy to step inside from the street. Baldotta House is a sturdy building that has been around a long time. We spend our days at the counter or organizing things on the shelves. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We see many regular people walking dogs or heading to the restaurant across the street. The traffic can be a bit much during the evening rush, but otherwise, it’s a decent place to be. We don't do much decorating; we just keep the place functional. Most people in the area know where Baldotta House is, so we don't explain our location too much. We just show up, open the shutters, and start the day like everyone else. It's a simple routine that we have followed for quite some time. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We enjoy the familiar sights and sounds of the colony every afternoon.
