We are over at Shop Number 4 in the Ekta Apartment building. It’s on LBS in Mulund West. We are right on Bhawani Shankar Road, basically right across from the Santhoshi Mata Mandir. If you’re coming from the temple, you can’t miss us. We work with marble, or sangmarmar as we call it. It’s a dusty job, and my clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We make all sorts of things out of stone. Some people want a small statue for their home, others are looking for something bigger for a building project. We’ve been in this same spot for a lot of years. The road outside is always loud with traffic and people going to the temple, but inside the shop, it’s just the sound of us working the stone. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you can see what we are making. Sometimes we have pieces ready to go, and other times we are working on something specific for a customer. It takes patience to work with marble because if you make a mistake, you can’t really fix it easily. We aren't a big corporation, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. It’s hard work, but when a piece is finished and looks right, it feels good. Come by and see us if you are ever in Mulund.
