Janvi Arts

Janvi Arts is based out of Kandivili West, which is a pretty lively part of Mumbai to be in. We’ve been around here for a while, just doing our thing with the art pieces and supplies. The space isn’t huge, so things tend to get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We usually spend the morning rearranging shelves or looking for that one specific item someone asked for. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Kandivili is always moving, and we just try to keep up with the pace. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside out. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just talk to the regulars and help them find what they need for their projects. Sometimes the rains make things difficult, but we manage. The shop has a certain smell of paper and paint that you get used to after five minutes. We aren't trying to be anything big or fancy. It’s just a local business where we show up every day and do the work. Most of our day is spent at the counter or in the back room sorting through stuff. It’s simple, really. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop by just to say hello or ask for advice on a frame. We just stay focused on the tasks and try to keep things organized.
