Janmbandh Foundation

The Janmbandh Foundation is based at B-22 on the second floor of the B wing in Park Corner. It is in the Sagar Shilpa building on Jambhekar Maharaj Road in Dadar West. Dadar is always crowded, as anyone who lives in Mumbai knows. Being in the 400028 area means we are right in the heart of things. Our office is a small space where we keep our records and meet people. It is a bit of a walk from the station, but it is a good location. We don't have any shiny plaques or expensive furniture. It is mostly just stacks of paper and a few old fans keeping the air moving. We are a small team of locals. We grew up around these streets, so we know the people here. We aren't trying to be some massive international charity. We just focus on Janmbandh and what we can do from our second-floor office. Sometimes the traffic noise from Jambhekar Maharaj Road makes it hard to hear, but we just speak a bit louder. We have coffee together in the mornings and talk about what needs to be done. It is very informal. We don't like using corporate language because it doesn't fit who we are. We are just people from Dadar trying to make a small difference in our own way. It is a practical, everyday kind of place, and we are happy to be here working.
