Imaam Ahmed Raza Foundation

Imaam Ahmed Raza Foundation is located in the Chinchbunder area. You can find us at Kanji Vasanji Building, number 50. We are on the ground floor, room G2. The street is Tatanpur Street, which is in the Israil Mohalla section of Khadak. This is a very old part of Mumbai, and the streets are quite narrow and crowded. You will see a lot of shops and small businesses all packed together. Our building is one of those classic old Mumbai structures. Being on the ground floor is great because people can just walk right in from the street. The foundation has been here for a long time. The office is small and usually smells a bit like the incense we burn or the tea from the shop next door. We handle a lot of community inquiries and paperwork here. Imaam Ahmed Raza Foundation is a name that carries a lot of weight in this neighborhood. We don't have air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that rattles a bit. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door open to get some breeze. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for advice or to drop off something. It’s a very social place, and we are right in the middle of the daily life of Khadak. We just keep things moving, one day at a time, from our little ground-floor room. It can get loud with the street traffic, but we are used to it.
