Iasayushman Foundation

Our foundation is based in Shanti Nagar, which is in Mira Road East. Specifically, we are at 103 B-24 in Sector 11. Mira Road is one of those places that never really stops moving. There is always someone new moving in or something being built. Our office is in a regular residential building, so it feels very much like being at home. Iasayushman Foundation is just a small group of us. We have a few desks squeezed into the room and the balcony is where we keep the extra stuff. It’s not a fancy setup at all. Sector 11 is a decent area, mostly families and people going about their business. We like it here because it’s not as loud as the main roads, but you can still get to everything you need. Sometimes the building hallway is a bit dark, but once you get inside our unit, it’s alright. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer. We don't have a big sign outside, so people usually have to look for the building number B-24. It’s a very local way of doing things. We aren't some big institution with a lot of money; we just use what we have in this flat. It’s been our base for a while now and we’ve gotten to know the shopkeepers downstairs pretty well. It’s just a simple, everyday workspace for us.
