Our workshop is at Gala No. 27/C in the Laxmi Industrial Estate in Andheri West. Being in an industrial estate means it’s a very practical environment. There are trucks moving, people loading goods, and the general hum of machines all around us. Inside our gala, it’s all about the arts and crafts. We have shelves stacked high with materials, tools, and finished pieces. It’s not a clean, polished gallery. There’s dust from the wood, scraps of paper on the floor, and the smell of glue or paint often hangs in the air. We spend our days making things by hand. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our hands are rarely clean. We don't have a fancy front office; if you want to talk to us, you just walk into the workspace. The layout is a bit cramped because we have so much stuff, but we know where everything is. People come to us when they need something specific made or if they are looking for craft supplies that are hard to find elsewhere. It’s a busy life here in Andheri. We start work early and usually keep going until the light fades. We don't spend money on big advertisements. Most people find us by word of mouth or by wandering through the estate. It’s a real, working craft space where we just get things done day in and day out.
