Hena Happiness Foundation

Our office is on the second floor of the Alankar Building, Block No-O. We are right on J Mehta Marg in Walkeshwar, which is a busy part of Mumbai. Hena Happiness Foundation isn't some giant charity with a huge budget. We are just a small team working out of this old building. Walkeshwar has a lot of history, and we feel like we are part of the fabric of the neighborhood now. We focus on general well-being because things can get pretty stressful in a city like Mumbai. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals written on the walls. Mostly, we just have a lot of paperwork and a coffee pot that is always running. We spend our days meeting with people from the area. Sometimes we are helping someone navigate a problem, and other times we are just planning a small local gathering. The building itself is a bit older, and the stairs can be a climb, but we like being here. It feels real. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making things a bit brighter for the people who live near J Mehta Marg. Most of our neighbors know us by now. We don't do much in the way of promotion. If people need us, they usually know where to find the Alankar Building. We just take things one day at a time and do what we can.
