Hawaa Foundation

You’ll find us in the Shah and Nahar Industrial Estate in Lower Parel. We are on the second floor of the A2 building. Hawaa Foundation is just a small group of us working in this old industrial space. Lower Parel has changed a lot lately, with all the big towers, but our corner on Sitaram Jadhav Marg still feels like the old Mumbai. We work on things that we think matter, mostly just helping out where we can in the neighborhood. Our office is nothing special, just some desks and a lot of dusty windows. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy brochures. We just talk to people. Sometimes we’re helping with local projects, other times we’re just trying to get resources to folks who are struggling. It’s honest, direct work. We like being in the industrial estate because it feels real. There’s the sound of machinery and people working all around us. It keeps us grounded in what we are doing. We don't have big speeches about what we do. We just show up at unit 282 every morning and get to it. Some days are slow, others are a total whirlwind of activity. That’s just how it is when you’re running a small foundation with limited hands. We’re just local people trying to keep things moving for the better in our little slice of the city, one day at a time.
