Hasee Foundation

Our office is in Kewal Tower, right across from SNDT College in Malad West. If you know the area near Liberty Garden, you know it’s always packed with students and traffic. We’ve been operating out of room 101-A for a bit now. It’s not a very big place, but it works for what we do. We call ourselves the Hasee Foundation. Mostly, we’re just a group of friends who wanted to do something useful with our spare time. We see a lot of people struggling with basic things in Mumbai. We don't have a grand plan. We just look at what’s right in front of us. Some days we're helping an elderly neighbor get their medicine, other days we're talking to students who are stressed about their futures. It’s a bit of everything, really. We don’t have fancy titles or a board of directors who live in another city. We live right here. The noise from the street comes right through the windows, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of chai and talk through how we can help the next person who walks in. It’s just honest, local work. No one is getting rich doing this. We do it because we live here too. If you’re near Malad, you might see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a way for people to find us.
