We are tucked away in Purushottam Nagar on Ved Road, number 17, in the Kachpada area of Malad. It’s a busy little spot with a lot of people walking around throughout the day. We have crates of different fruit stacked up against the wall nearly all the time. There are oranges, pineapples, and whatever else is in season at the market. We spend a lot of our time peeling skins and cutting things into pieces. Our hands are almost always wet from the juice and the cold ice we use. We have a couple of loud blenders that make a lot of noise when they are running. It’s hard to hear what people are saying sometimes over the sound of the motors. We don't use much sugar in our drinks unless someone specifically asks for it. The shop is quite small, so we have to stand up for most of the day. We have a small sink in the back where we wash the glasses by hand. Sometimes we run out of a certain fruit because the wholesale market didn't have any good quality that morning. We just tell the customers we don't have it today. We don't like serving stuff that isn't fresh or looks bad. It’s a very simple business for us. We get a lot of kids from the school nearby and workers taking a quick break. The floor stays a bit sticky no matter how much we mop.
