Gujarati Enrichment Organisation Forum

Our place is at 51/10, Ranchhodas Villa, right on Bhaudaji Cross Road in Mumbai. It’s an old building, the kind you see around this part of the city. We’ve been using this space for the Gujarati Enrichment Organisation Forum for some time. Usually, there’s a lot of noise from the street, but once you step inside the villa, it’s a bit calmer. We spend our time putting together different things for the community here. Most of the people who come by are just neighbors or folks from around Mumbai City who want to stay connected to their roots. We have some chairs and a few old desks where we sit and talk about what to do next. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or anything. It feels more like a home. Sometimes we have tea and discuss how to help the younger generation learn more about our language and the way we do things. It gets quite busy on the weekends when people have more free time. We don't really do much advertising or anything. Most people just know we are here because they saw the sign or heard from a friend. We just like to keep the doors open and see who stops by. It’s a simple way to spend the day, making sure our traditions don't get lost in the rush of Mumbai life. That's basically how we spend our time in the office.
