Good Deed Welfare Foundation

We run the Good Deed Welfare Foundation from Prakash Villa on North Avenue Road. We are at number 2, right there in Santacruz. It’s a busy part of the city, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We started this foundation because we wanted to do more than just talk about problems. We wanted to actually do something, even if it’s small. Our space in Santacruz 54 is where we handle the day-to-day stuff. It’s not a corporate office. It feels more like a home, which is fine by us. People come by when they have a problem or just need someone to talk to. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or a big team. It’s mostly just us and a few volunteers who show up when they can. We try to be practical about things. If someone needs help, we see what we have and go from there. We don’t make huge promises we can’t keep. The neighborhood has its ups and downs, and we’re just trying to be a steady presence. It’s been a few years now, and we’ve learned a lot about what the local community really needs. We just take it one day at a time and try to do one good thing whenever we can. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. Prakash Villa is more than just an address to us, it’s where we try to make things happen for Santacruz folks.
