Golha Arts

Golha Arts is based out of Flat C 403 in the Shivangan CHS building in Dahisar. We are quite close to the Motilal Nagar market bus stop, so it's a familiar area for most people around here. Working from a flat means it’s a bit more relaxed than a standard storefront. We have our workspace set up with all the brushes, paints, and supplies we need for the projects we take on. It is often a bit messy because art isn't exactly a clean job. There are usually pieces drying on the tables or leaning against the walls. We take things as they come, whether it's a small order or something bigger that takes a few weeks to finish. It is mostly just a few of us here, and we like the quiet of the residential building. You can hear the market noise from outside, but inside we just focus on what we are making. We don't have a big gallery or a place to display everything. It’s more of a workshop where the actual creation happens. Sometimes we run out of a certain color or a frame doesn't fit right, and we have to start over. That is just part of the process. We’ve been here for a bit and have built a small circle of people who know our work. It’s a simple setup and it suits the kind of work we do every single day. It’s a good life.
