Godkars Art Academy

We are located at Flat No 301 in Raj Palace, right here in the IC Colony area of Borivali West. It is a quiet residential spot near Royal Tower, but inside the academy, things get pretty lively. We started Godkars Art Academy because we just liked drawing and wanted to show others how to do it without all the formal pressure you find in big schools. Most days, you will find us sitting around with brushes and pencils, trying to get a sketch just right. The light in the flat is actually quite good in the afternoons, which helps when the kids come in after their regular school is over. We don’t have fancy mahogany desks or anything like that. It is just tables, chairs, and lots of paper everywhere. Sometimes the floors get a bit messy with charcoal or spilled water, but that is just how it goes when people are working. Art is like that. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to ask what we are painting today. It is a bit cramped when we have a full class, but we manage. We’ve been in this building for some time now and most of the neighbors know us by the smell of oil paints in the hallway. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just teach what we know and hope people enjoy the process of making something from scratch. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and the students.
