Freelance Photography

Rosary Cottage has been my base for quite a while now. It’s tucked away on Marve Road in Orlem, which is a part of Malad West that has a lot of character. If you’re from around here, you know the vibe near the church and the little lanes. I do my freelance photography from home, which means the dining table is often covered in lenses and prints. I didn’t want to rent a big commercial space because it just didn’t make sense for the way I work. I like being close to the community. Most of my clients are just people from the neighborhood who’ve known me for years. They come by to talk about a shoot, and we usually end up having tea instead. I take pictures of everything from small birthdays to local sports matches. It’s not about being famous or having my work in big magazines. I just like capturing things as they are. The Marve Road traffic can be pretty loud, but inside the cottage, it’s usually calm enough to get my editing done. I’ve got a small setup with my computer and a couple of hard drives where I store thousands of photos. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but that’s part of the deal. I just keep going and try to finish my work on time for everyone. I don't use fancy assistants either.
