It’s a central spot, which makes it easier for people to drop by. We’ve been working from this apartment for quite some time now. This place isn't a big glass office building; it’s more like a home base for our group. We deal with things related to women in business and industry, mostly just helping each other navigate the work world. There are always papers piled up and someone on the phone. We didn't want anything too formal, so this setup works for us. Living and working in Mumbai means things are always moving fast, especially around Chembur Naka. We try to keep things simple and grounded. Most of our members are just local women trying to make a living or grow their small setups. We talk, we share what we know, and we try to support one another. It’s a very practical arrangement. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything. We’d rather just focus on the actual work and the conversations that happen in this room. It’s a bit lived-in, but it’s our space and it serves its purpose. There's always coffee and work to be done and we enjoy the company of those who visit.
