Farid Aftab Watch Repairs

You can find us at Stall No 4 in Building No 79 on Sandhut Road. We are right across from the Cafe Paradise Hotel, so we usually smell the food cooking throughout the day. It’s a small stall, really just enough room for a workbench and a couple of stools. Farid and the rest of us have been working here for quite a while now. The area is always moving, with cars and people going to the hotel or the shops nearby. Our stall might look a bit cluttered to someone walking by, but we know where everything is. We’ve got little tins filled with screws and tiny needles for the dials. Most people come to us because we’re right there on the road and easy to spot. We don't have any fancy machines, just the standard tools we've used for decades. Sometimes the rain blows in a bit under the roof, so we have to move the watches back. It’s just part of being in a stall like this. We talk to the other shopkeepers a lot while we work. It’s a small community on Sandhut Road. If someone’s watch stops, they bring it over, we take a look, and tell them if it can be fixed. We don't promise miracles, just honest work on the movements. It gets dark early in the stall, so we have a bright lamp right over the desk. That’s our daily life. We just try to fix what's broken and stay busy.
