Our place is in Siddharth Nagar, specifically A-14-202. It’s a typical Mumbai setup where space is always a bit tight, but we make it work for everything we do. Fali Arts isn't a gallery with white walls and spotlights; it’s more of a working studio where things are constantly being moved around to make room for new projects. There’s usually paint or some kind of material on the floor, and the smell of glue or ink is pretty much always there. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so we know the neighbors and the local shops where we get our supplies. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know. Sometimes we stay up late finishing things because deadlines in Mumbai are no joke. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We don’t have a website that’s updated or anything like that. If you need something, you just come by or call the house line. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might hear the TV in the background or someone cooking lunch in the next room while we work. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how we’ve always operated. We also have to deal with the noise from the street below, but you get used to that living in the city. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying supplies up the stairs.
