Fakhruddin & Sons

Our place, Fakhruddin & Sons, is located right in the middle of Nagdevi Khokha Bazaar on Sarang Street 121. If you know this area, you know it’s crowded and narrow, with people moving stuff back and forth all day long. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building reflects that history. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to get around to it. Inside, it’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the stock we keep on the shelves. There’s a specific smell of old paper and dust that greets you every morning when we roll up the shutters. My sons and I handle most of the daily tasks ourselves. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some old ledgers and a good memory for where everything is kept. The street outside is always noisy with carts and people shouting, but it’s the kind of energy we like. We eat our lunch right there at the counter most days because there’s always something that needs doing. Customers come in looking for specific parts or items, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. It’s a plain, straightforward way of doing things. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where Sarang Street 121 is and they find us when they need to. It's just how business is done here.
