Fabianis Art Gallery

We are over here at Shop No 1 in Dadi Chawl. It’s right in the Irla Soc area of Vile Parle West. Most people just look for the State Bank of Patiala or the Main Chowk to find us. We are pretty close to the G T Road, right next to Alfa 1. The shop isn't huge, but we have been here for a good while now. Every morning we open up the shutters and start dusting off the frames. You can hear all the traffic from the main road throughout the day. People walk by constantly since we are near Alfa 1. It gets pretty busy around here in the evenings. We usually have a few different things hanging on the walls, mostly stuff that people bring in or things we’ve collected. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a few people come in at once. The light isn’t always perfect, but we make do. We keep some extra stock tucked away in the back corners. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s slow and watch the cars go by on G T Road. It's just a regular local spot. We don't have fancy carpets or anything like that. Just the tiled floor and the paintings. The neighbors are alright, mostly other shopkeepers who have been around as long as us. We spend a lot of time just organizing the brushes and cleaning the glass on the frames every other day.
