Ekal Shrihari Vanvasi Foundation

Our foundation is located on the 4th floor of Ramji House, which is at 30 Jambulwadi on Kalbadevi Road. We have two rooms there, 401A and 407B. If you know Mumbai at all, you know Kalbadevi is one of the busiest places you can find. It’s always crowded and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away in this old building. Ekal Shrihari Vanvasi Foundation isn't some high-rise corporate office. It’s a series of rooms filled with files and a few computers. We spend our time working through the details of our projects. Sometimes it feels like we’re in the heart of everything because the noise from the street never really stops. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just explain what we’re doing if someone asks. Most of the people working here are just regular folks who wanted to contribute something. It’s not always easy getting up those four floors when the lift is acting up, but we manage. Being in the 400002 area means we’re right in the middle of the city's old trade district. It’s a historical spot, and we feel lucky to have a place here. We don't use any complicated mission statements. We just try to get the work done every day from our little office in Ramji House. It’s a lot of manual work and checking boxes, but it’s what we do.
