Dura Hart Glass & Mica Werke

We are tucked away in the Pioneer Industrial Estate, right on Subhash Road in Jogeshwari East. If you’re coming by train, it’s not a long walk from the station, though the lanes can get pretty crowded and hectic during peak hours. Dura Hart Glass & Mica Werke has been around this part of Mumbai for quite some time. We spend most of our days dealing with glass and mica components. It’s specific work, and it’s what we know how to do. The shop floor at number 321 is usually pretty busy with whatever job we have going on that week. We don't have a big marketing team or a sleek front desk. Usually, you’ll just find someone in overalls or a plain shirt working on a cutter or checking the stock. It’s a bit noisy because of the location, but you get used to the sound of the trains and the traffic after a while. We just focus on getting the measurements right. Glass is tricky stuff, you can't really rush it or it breaks, which is a lesson we learned the hard way years ago. We’ve had our share of long days where nothing seems to go right, but that’s just the nature of the business. Most of the people who come to us are regulars who know where to find the estate. We like it that way. It keeps things simple and keeps us focused on the actual materials.
