Our small studio is tucked away in Room No 14 over at Rajyog, Plot No 10 in Mulund East. Drishti Art started because we just wanted a place to create things without being bothered. It is not a big gallery with white walls; it is more like a workshop filled with paints, brushes, and half-finished projects. If you walk in, you will probably smell turpentine or wet clay. We spend our days working on whatever comes our way, whether it is a painting or something more decorative. Mulund East is a nice area, and being at Rajyog gives us enough space to breathe. Sometimes the room gets really messy when we are in the middle of a big project, and we have to step over canvases to get to the door. We do not really have set hours; we just work when the light is good or when we have a deadline to meet. It is just us here, making art and trying to pay the bills. People from around the neighborhood sometimes stop by to see what we are making. We are not trying to be famous or anything. We just like the process of making things with our hands. It is a quiet life for the most part, except when we have the radio on while we work. It is a bit cramped in Room 14, but it is home for our art and our messy ideas.
