Doing My Bit Foundation

Our foundation is tucked away in Dadar West, over in Kamdar Park on N.M. Kale Marg. We are on the third floor of the C-wing. If you know Dadar, you know how crowded it gets near Agar Bazar, so getting to our office can be a bit of a struggle during the evening rush. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it keeps us fit. Our office doesn't have much in it besides a few tables, some metal cupboards for files, and a water filter. We are a small group of people who just wanted to do our bit for the community. We don't have big funding or corporate sponsors. Most of the time, we are just paying for things out of our own pockets. The noise from the market nearby filters in through the windows all day long, so it’s never really quiet here. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and figuring out how to help the people who come to us with problems. We don’t have a fancy logo or shiny brochures. We just talk to people and try to solve things one by one. Sometimes we stay late to finish paperwork because the daytime is too busy with visitors. It is a simple, practical setup for people who just want to be useful. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the local shopkeepers all know us.
