Dnyanvrunda Foundation

Our place is in Borivali West, specifically in Building 7 of the Yoganand CHS. It is right near Vazira Naka, so the area is always busy with people heading to the station or the market. We are in flat number 255 on the second floor. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than four people inside, but we make it work. The building is one of those older Mumbai societies where everyone knows everyone’s business, so we get a lot of neighbors peeking in to see what we are doing. The address mention of Nandurbar on our paperwork sometimes confuses people, but we are definitely here in Mumbai doing the daily grind. We have a couple of desks pushed against the walls to save space. Most of our day is spent on the phone or writing things down in big ledgers. We don't have a receptionist or anyone to open the door, so you just have to knock and wait. The fan in the main room makes a bit of a clicking noise, but we’ve stopped noticing it after all these years. We aren't doing anything grand or fancy. We just help out with local issues and try to keep the foundation running with whatever small funds we can scrape together. It is a lot of hard work and very little rest, but that is just how life is in Borivali.
