We work out of the Ahmed Sailor Building in Mumbai, specifically at 32/7. Being a distributor for Jack and Jill means our days are mostly about boxes and deliveries. This building is a bit older, like many in this part of Maharashtra, and it has a lot of character. We don't have a big corporate showroom. Instead, our space is usually piled high with stock that needs to go out to different shops. It’s a lot of lifting, checking lists, and making sure the right items are loaded onto the trucks. Mumbai traffic is always a headache, so we spend a lot of time timing our dispatches so they actually get somewhere on time. It’s a busy, sometimes chaotic environment, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. The Ahmed Sailor Building is always buzzing with other businesses too, so there’s a lot of movement in the hallways. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk; we just need to get the product from point A to point B. Sometimes the elevator is slow or a shipment arrives late, and we just have to deal with it. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet all day. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and we know the local routes pretty well. It’s just about keeping the supply moving and making sure the shelves in the stores stay full for the people who buy these things.
