Dengee Foundation

Dengee Foundation is located at Bharat CHS on M.D. Naik Marg. We are in room C204 on the second floor, which is the residence of Mira Chandrakant Gaikwad. This is right in the Dockyard area of Mumbai, so there is a lot of activity nearby with the ships and the general bustle of the neighborhood. The building is a typical residential one, and we use this space to manage everything for the foundation. It’s not a large office, so things can get a bit crowded with all our records and supplies. We have a simple table where we sit to have our meetings and a few chairs for guests. We don't use any fancy language or have a polished front office. It’s just a real place where real work happens every day. The walk up to the second floor is good exercise since we are in and out quite a bit. The 400010 area has a lot of history and we feel like a part of the local community here. We usually have the window open to let in some air, even if it brings in the sounds of the street. Most of our time is taken up with coordinating different tasks and talking to people who need our help. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we can from this small flat in Mumbai. It’s honest work and we stay pretty busy throughout the week.
