Darul Madina Education Foundation

Our office for Darul Madina Education Foundation is in the middle of Bhendi Bazar. You can find us at Patka Mansion on Ebrahim Rahimtulla Road. We are up on the 3rd floor, at room number 71. This part of Mumbai is always packed and noisy, so there is constant energy right outside our door. Mandvi is the kind of place where everyone is always moving. We handle a lot of educational requests and try to help families understand the local school systems. It is not a huge operation by any means. Our office is just a couple of rooms with some desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are usually overflowing. We often have people dropping by without an appointment just to talk. The building has that old Mumbai feel, and the stairs are quite narrow, which makes it interesting when we have to carry boxes of books up. We stay focused on our tasks every day, making sure we stay on top of the foundation's work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit or it gets very humid, but we just keep the fans going and stay at it. We are not interested in looking corporate or professional in that stiff way. We are just a local foundation trying to do some good for the kids around Bhendi Bazar.
