We run Dart Arts out of a small place in Shaikh Razak Chawl, which is part of Behram Baug in Patel Wadi, Antop Hill. It’s number 37 if you’re looking for us. The neighborhood is very lively and a bit crowded, so you have to look closely for the sign. We do all sorts of art work and related stuff right here. It’s not a big studio with fancy lights; it’s more of a workshop where things get messy with paint and materials. We’ve been in Antop Hill for a long time, and most of our neighbors know what we do. People walk by and see us working on different projects throughout the day. We don’t have a website or anything like that, usually just people coming in because they heard about us from someone else. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. The space is a bit tight with all the supplies we keep, but we know where everything is. We started this because we like making things, and it just grew into a business over time. Shaikh Razak Chawl is a place where everyone is working on something, and we’re just part of that. We take our time with the work to make sure it’s what people asked for. It’s a simple life here in Patel Wadi, and we’re happy just doing our art and keeping the shop open for whoever needs a sign or a bit of painting.
