Cowconnect Foundation

We are based in the Lokhandwala Township area of Kandivali East. Specifically, you can find us at C-610 in Akurli Essbel Chs Ltd on Akurli Road. It is a typical Mumbai apartment setup. Living in Mumbai 400101, you do not see many cows roaming around the big buildings, but they are a huge part of what we do at Cowconnect Foundation. We started this because we wanted to connect city folks with the rural side of things. It is not a farm, obviously. It is just an office in a housing society. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer coordinating different projects. Sometimes the elevator in the building is broken, so we have to walk up to the sixth floor. It keeps us moving, at least. We are not some big international group with a massive budget. We are just a few people who care about how animals are treated and how organic farming works. People in the building know us as the ones always talking about cattle and nature. It is a bit of a niche, but it feels right to do it from here. The Akurli Road is always crowded and loud, so getting anywhere takes a long time. We have made this little flat our home base. It is small and a bit messy with all the papers, but it is where everything happens. We just do what we can from here.
