You can find us at Shop No. 6 inside the Metro Shopping Plaza. Being in Colaba means there’s always people walking by. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. Chris Arts has been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the plaza. Some days it’s quiet and we just sit and organize the stock, other days it’s a bit of a rush. We don't have a big team or anything. It's usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The plaza itself is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, but once you find shop six, you're there. We keep things simple. We have our regulars who stop in when they're in Colaba, and then there are the tourists who just wander in by accident. We try to keep the shelves tidy, but it's a constant battle. Art stuff can get messy. We aren't trying to be some high-end gallery. It’s more of a local spot where you can pick up what you need. The lighting in here isn't the best, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in. Sometimes they buy something, sometimes they just want to chat about what's going on in the neighborhood. That's just how it goes here in Colaba. We keep the door open and wait for the next person to come through.
