Cheering Squad India Foundation

You can find us over at Plot No 66 in Sector 8A of Airoli. We’re based in B-701 of the Satyan Harmony building. It’s a nice enough spot in Navi Mumbai, and being on the seventh floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding area, though we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. We chose the name Cheering Squad India Foundation because we wanted to be a positive force for people, but we aren't some polished corporate entity with a huge budget. We’re just a small team of individuals who care about the neighborhood. Most of our days are spent coordinating with volunteers or trying to organize small-scale events that can help people out in their daily lives. The office feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, with tea brewing in the corner and stacks of flyers waiting to be handed out. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans painted on the walls to impress people. We just have a to-do list that never seems to get shorter. Sometimes we make mistakes with the scheduling or forget to reply to an email right away, but we always get back to people eventually. We’re just trying to do some good in Airoli and beyond, one day at a time, without any of the usual corporate fluff that you see elsewhere. It’s a lot of work but it feels right.
