Chandralok Art Gallery

We are located in Shop Number 3 at the Chandralok A Building. It’s right on Malabar Hill, or well, near the LBS Marg side in Mulund West. It's a bit confusing for people sometimes because of the names. We are right opposite Shanti Nagar. Our shop is small but we have a lot of things inside. Mostly it’s just frames and some paintings people left here. We spend the morning cleaning the glass. Dust comes in from the road every day. Mulund is a busy place now. There is always construction going on somewhere. We see people walking to the station. Some stop to look at the windows. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working here. Sometimes the light in the back doesn't work right. We use a ladder to reach the top shelves. It’s quiet in the afternoons. That is when we do the most work. We have been here for a long time. The building is old but it stays cool inside. Sometimes we drink coffee from the shop next door. People ask us if we can fix old pictures. We try. There is no big secret to what we do. We just like looking at the art. It makes the day go by faster. We are here from morning till late evening. If the shutter is half down, we are probably just cleaning up to go home for the night.
